I was born in 1991 in Germany. I started programming when I was 14. I tried many languages but today my two favourites are Java and Ruby. I started working on Jim at the age of 16 and it is my first larger project and the first I really like to use myself.

• There is one person who accompanied Jim's development process from its very beginning: Uwe L. Korn. He advised me of some really interesting frameworks and tools such as Subversion for versioning (the source code you can browse is stored in a subversion repository), Derby which is now Jim's default database, Hibernate which is now used for the database handling and last but not least Apache Forrest, a framework I used to create this website.
  On the other hand he sponsored the server where this website is currently running.
• While I'm no good at graphic design stuff I want to thank Miriam Soffel for developing various concepts for the design of Jim's logo, so I could choose one.
• Even if I wrote this image managing application I am not skilled in image manipulation. For this reason I am really thankful that Stefan Templin actually painted and improved the concept of Jim's logo for me (I only made some minor changes afterwards).
