JimPath2TagMapper plugin
What is JimPath2TagMapper?
Description
JimPath2TagMapper is a simple plugin that allows you to
access images as if you were using a file explorer. This is
possible by simply tagging images based on their file path.
For further information what is done exactly see the
following example:
Take an image with the file path
/home/user/images/party/group.jpg. If you'd
use this plugin onto that image the following tags would be
added to the tag tree (if they didn't exist):
"/", "home", "user", "images", "party"
The image group.jpg would be tagged with the
"party"-tag, which means it is also indirectly
tagged with all other created tags because these are the
parent tags of the "party"-tag.
Since Jim 2.1.0 this plugin is integrated into Jim's import mechanism: If JimPath2TagMapper is installed you can use it to tag newly imported images (in replace to the "untagged images" default tag which was used before). Note that it is left to you to chose this way, you can deactivate it in Jim's configuration to use it (or simply uninstall the JimPath2TagMapper plugin).
Additionally JimPath2TagMapper comes with an plugin named JimPath2TagMapperGui that provides integration to Jim's standard interface JimGui.
Features
- Allows you to access your images as if you were in a file explorer by mapping the image file paths to a tag structure.
- Enables further options to tag newly imported images.
- Integrates in Jim's standard user interface JimGui
License
JimPath2TagMapper is - like Jim itself - licensed under the Apache License 2.0 and is therefore free software.
